Without music, life would be a mistake

Dan was brought up in a family where the best music was always playing. My father in law is a walking encyclopaedia, knows more about artists, bands, albums than anyone else I know. It’s amazing to see someone with so much knowledge and being so passionate about music, he even wrote a study on how graphics of the album covers has evolved through time.
So obviously we’d love our children to get familiar to alll kind of music and particularly know the good old (and new) stuff. For this we came up with a little game to play at dinner time, which Is basically an alphabet game. One of us will start the alphabet, someone says ‘Stop’ then they pick a a song played by an artist/band whose name begins with that letter.
Clearly this means that at times we may learn something too, as Ariana will pick the Taylor Swifts, the George Ezras and whatever else, but it also means she will recognise a Coldplay, Beatles or a Queen. 

So the other day I was listening to Breathe, which is one of my favourite tracks ever, and I started putting together a playlist to help my mood, then I just played along the lines of our alphabet game with music.
This is what resulted, and while some of the songs just make me laugh and take me 20 years back in time, a few are my all time favourites or really empowering for the times we’re living. Three generations under one roof

3 months in isolation and we managed to book a flight for my Mum to return back home. I’ve got mixed feelings about it - I am mainly worried about the time spent in the airport and during the flight surrounded by people. A bit sad because the girls, mostly Emma keeps saying she doesn’t want her to go, so she’ll be quite disappointed for a while. But knowing Emma, she’ll quickly get over it. Relieved - because we really needed to get back to being us four and get back to our normal (haha!) life. It can be tricky to live with our parents. Women - those supernatural creatures

I've recently read an article wrote by a friend of mine about gender gaps and it really got me thinking. As a mother of two girls and as a what I like to think about myself, a strong woman, I've always been a feminist. In my early twenties, when I was convinced that the world was mine, I used to say women can do everything that men do, and on top of that, they can do it all while wearing heels. This is not to say men can't wear heels, I dare you to try. Over the last nearly 4 months, we've all found ourselves dealing with new challenges and trying to comprehend this new way of living. However, I believe the working mums have faced the ultimate juggling challenge - fitting the role of mum, teacher, cleaner, wife, whatever role at job.
